Raajje Divers is a PADI Dive Center on Beach Road in Hulhumalé, next to Malé and Velana International Airport — and the first mobile dive base in the Maldives. Maldivian PADI Instructors run the Hulhumalé shark dive, reef dives, PADI courses, superyacht and liveaboard diving, and commercial diving anywhere across the 26 atolls.

Map and directions →At Hulhumalé, on the Single dive (shark tank) — Raajje Divers' signature dive (2 hours , USD 80 per diver). The team pioneered this site and developed a stationary mooring-line method that keeps every shark dive controlled and safe. Divers meet tiger sharks, scalloped hammerheads, grey reef sharks, spinner sharks and a hundred-plus stingrays. It is an certified dive; included: full equipments included.

Courses: PADI Open Water Diver USD 520 (3–4 days), PADI Advanced Open Water USD 450 (2 days), PADI Rescue Diver USD 500 (3 days) and PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) USD 300 (1 day). All packages and courses →No. The Discover Dive (USD 100) needs no experience — a supervised first dive in calm, shallow water with a one-on-one PADI pro. To dive on your own with a buddy, take the PADI Open Water Diver course (3–4 days), which certifies you to dive to 18m independently with a buddy.
PADI courses →There is no bad month — only different oceans. December to April (the northeast monsoon) is the dry season, with visibility of 30 metres or more and the eastern channels busy with hammerheads, grey reef sharks and big pelagics. May to November (the southwest monsoon) brings plankton, whale sharks and manta aggregations; Hanifaru Bay in Baa Atoll peaks from August to November. Our picks: sharks January–March, mantas August–October, whale sharks in South Ari year-round. The water is about 28°C all year, so a 3 mm shorty is plenty.
Month-by-month guide →Divers Alert Network (DAN) guidance is at least 12 hours after a single no-decompression dive, and at least 18 hours after repetitive dives or several days of diving. Plan your last dive for the day before your flight — Velana International Airport is right next to Hulhumalé, but the waiting time still applies.
Yes — that is what a mobile dive base is. A fully equipped, certified team mobilises to any island, vessel or remote site across the 26 atolls, and runs full dive programmes on board superyachts and liveaboards: certified guides, safety kit and gear, diving wherever the boat sails.
The full dive service →Maldivian locals with long careers at sea: Buka (Owner & Dive Center Operator); Soba (PADI Instructor & Underwater Videographer); Teddie (PADI Instructor & Surf Guide). All of the guides are PADI Instructors who can lead dive courses, with years of experience on liveaboards and superyachts.
Meet the crew →Yes. The commercial division covers scuba diving consultancy, salvage, search & recovery, hull cleaning, videography & photography, propeller polishing & repair, docking platforms, coral reef reformation, outfall installation, marine insurance survey, sewer installation and undersea cable laying anywhere in the Maldives. The team provided underwater support for the Sinamalé Bridge (Malé–Hulhumalé, the country's first sea-crossing bridge) and the Thilamalé Bridge (Malé–Villimalé).
